I should have considered that this center has 2.5 star for a reason. After a month of going through doubts to go to this center or not, I went there today. I walked in and the first person I interacted with was Cayla. I specifically emphasized I DO NOT want my insurance to be billed for my visit and they can either bill me or bill the third party insurance. She said they cannot will the third party, but they bill me directly. I said fine and thank you. She made me an appointment and I left. The next person who signed me in at the time of my appointment was sitting right next to Cayla. She had dark long hair, tanned skin, blue top on. I told her again that please make sure my insurance DOSE NOT get billed. Bill me and she said ok. I went it and saw the Dr. I explained to the Dr. the same thing and we even discussed having PT getting billed through the third party because she said she understood that I do not want my insurance to be billed. I had X-rays taken and at the time of check out, the woman checking me out gave me a page to sign and said this is to bill your insurance. I told her NO this visit is not supposed to be billed to my insurance and I even asked “isn’t it mentioned there?” She said yes it is and took the paper back and said you do not need to fill it out then. I left. Two minutes later while I was still behind the red light next to the center I get a phone call that my insurance….what the f…after so clearly and specifically explaining to 4 individual “professionals” what I wanted they still did the totally opposite? What the…?! Later they tell me they cannot bill me? Why none of the four employees informed me of that? No one could be least compassionate and robotic than Kerri Sager about such wrong doing and mistreatment. I requested to bill me, she said they can’t. I requested to bill the third party, she said they cannot. I requested to cancel my visit and keep all and everything even their diagnosis for themselves, she said she cannot. Not even an apology! What was I to them? Not a suffering and in pain patient who need care and help, but a money making object, someone they knew they would lose money had they told me they cannot bill me in the first place. Wrong, awfully wrong. I called my insurance and informed them. They said the urgent care could bill me directly if they wanted! Shame on you John Muir Urgent Care. I would never go back and never recommend you to anyone for your lack of everything.
Also need to note, in the urgent care section alone there were about 15 female employees sitting and just showing off their fake lashes to one another! For God’s sake and for the price you charge people, hire some real professionals.

We walked in and they told us they only schedule urgent care appointments but we're able to schedule us an appointment 30-45 minutes later. Which is what I'd expect to wait for care in America at a minimum so that was no problem.

They saw us at the time they said. Gave good advice and went smooth.

They are in the Cigna network in case that helps anyone, but be sure to check with your provider or call ahead to confirm.

everytime I come here is a ridiculous wait when you have an appointment. I have a appt check in click I’m here and they somehow manage to mark me as missing my appt this happens constantly. I’m sitting in the waiting 30 mins early and yet they somehow mark me as late and cancel my appt their customer check in team and their app are very fault with doing their job properly. do better. this has been on going for years. If I could give zero stars I would.

The check in lady wanted to argue about the online check and got an attitude that I didn’t verbally tell her I was here when I already clicked arrived and here for appt through the app. She wasn’t listening and just kept being rude repeating her self.

Absolute joke. The only reason I made an appt on a Sunday was to have a chest X-ray, they scheduled me at 4:45pm. At 5:05 they came in and said X-ray closed at 5, come back tomorrow. I show up and they’re closed, it’s Presidents’ Day, this was twice they showed absolute zero care or follow through. If they were closed on Monday, they shouldn’t have said come back tomorrow. I didn’t call to check because as an Urgent Care center saying to come in tomorrow, I took that as they were open. Everyone there (except the check-in receptionist who was nice) was extremely short and rude. Terrible experience, will never come back here.

They are awful these days. There was a time when John Muir was good. Now they do their best to not let you see anyone. The people answering calls are trained to be rude, dismissive and will not even let you talk to an advice nurse. I had a dirty cut outside, and they told me they don't give Tetanus shots - it's not their policy. They couldn't even tell me if I needed a tetanus shot - they didn't know what it was. I looked it up from my chart, and thought I needed it - but I could not get it from them. I cannot believe this. They should not call themselves an Urgent Care.

My husband is in severe pain on the floor of the emergency room but no one will see him because “it’s a typical busy Friday morning”
In here we have a dozen of people that are quietly seated and look just fine, and my husband who is screaming in pain but still needs to wait 2,3 hours before he can even get an IV. This is unacceptable. What does EMERGENCY mean?!

Miserable staff. I brought my toddler in to be seen, and checked in at the kiosk. In my struggle to keep my child in my arms, and not harm the surgery I had just 3 days ago, I mistakenly signed into the LabCorp side. When I was called up, they let me know and I walked back to UC check in.

That’s when the check-in person on the LabCorp side starting joking about me to the next patient in line. I was just a couple feet away and they were making jokes about me. To make matters worse, Urgent Care was now full for the day so my sick kid couldn’t even be seen.

When I walked out I let them know I didn’t appreciate the jokes at my expense and all the staff could do was say “excuse me?”

So rude, unprofessional, and unnecessary. It costs nothing to be a decent person.
